According to both Gimpyfish62 and MaNg0, this is the greatest match ever played. You could call it fate. You could call it destiny. You could call it dao, or ka, or brahma, or the presence of God or the will of Allah or the Isai Effect. All I know is that it was there today.\n\n\nA few months ago, I read of a very large, nearby tournament that would be taking place on January 11-12. Needless to say, I was ecstatic. I did not know whether I would be able to enter until just a few days prior to the tournament, but I never really had any doubt.\n\nPerhaps I knew then that something special was happening.\n\nAbout a week ago, Gimpyfish62 released a video called \"The Art of Counterpicking,\" which I watched with some interest. Somehow I had a feeling that this video would figure largely in my near future.\n\nPerhaps I knew then that something special was happening.\n\nTourney day arrives, and I realize that I am not going to be able to make it to doubles. I panic for a moment, until the tourney organizer tells me I can register early and come back for singles anyway.\n\nPerhaps I knew then that something special was happening.\n\nI watch, in awe, as doubles finals happen. Double shinespikes, 0-death edgeguards, 4-stock 1v2 comebacks. I check out my pool, and to my combined ecstasy and dismay, I have a very highly ranked player, a runner-up in the doubles tourney, in my pool. But it\'s time to get down to business... or maybe not. Hours later, I am informed that my pool would not be taking place that evening. I was disappointed, but I knew that this was right, somehow.\n\nPerhaps I knew then that something special was happening.\n\nNext day. Pools start. I win a few matches, lose a few, but I\'m holding my own and have a good chance of getting into the bracket. An announcement comes over the intercom, saying that unless the best player in our pool arrives soon, he\'ll be disqualified. And he is. My emotions are torn over this. I am now almost guaranteed to pass through pools, but I may be missing out on a good experience. Needless to say, as I\'m sure you\'ve figured out, the ranked player soon arrives, coming back from disqualification. ****ing cheater.Perhaps I knew then that something special was happening.\n\nOur match begins. I go for Jigglypuff, my \"safe\" character. We go random. I put up a modest fight, taking off two stocks and a fair bit of damage, but he methodically takes me out. I look down at my laptop and notice that I have forgottento start recording, and hit \"Confirm,\" relieved that I noticed and can get at least one match onto my computer.\n\nPerhaps I knew then that something special was happening.\n\nMy opponent bans Corneria or Pokefloats or something, it doesn\'t matter. I think about how the last match went. Should I stay Jiggs? Maybe I should go with my Marth... but my spacing is still mediocre, and he probably has a lot of experience against Marth...\n\nThen, in a flash of inspiration usually associated with the brilliant mathematician, artist, or writer, I knew. I could not beat this man. Winning was out of the question. So if I wanted to accomplish anything, there was only one thing I could do. And maybe, just maybe, that would allow me to win after all.\n\nI smiled and chose the stage. He stayed with his main. I drifted my cursor over to ditto him.\n\nThe match began.\n\n\n\nNote: before you watch the following video, you must understand the context. After the last match, a sizable crowd had gathered to watch, including Gimpyfish, Zelgadis, and Mango, all of whom shouted advice and taunts to both players. Before the match had even started, it was shaping up to be epic. Imagine the FC3 regional crew matches, except without Ken\'s sister telling Wes to shut the **** up. I don\'t want to say you had to be there, but maybe you did.\n\nMusic is The Legend Comes to Life, from Pokemon: The Movie 2000.\n\n\"DROP A BOMB HUGS!!!\" -gimpyfish\n\"Come on Hugs, just drop one bomb.\" -mango\n\"Dammit guys, stop telling me how to play Samus.\" -HugS\n\n\"HOLY CRAP HE DROPPED LIKE SEVEN BOMBS IN A ROW\" -gimpyfish amazing, bomb, bros, brothers, counterpick, cruise, epic, gimpyfish, hugo, mango, melee, pwn, rainbow, smash, ssbm, super
