Juggling hardcore, epic rock, grunge and country punk, Black Ocean are kinda like Nirvana meets The Lemonheads meetsThe Meat Puppets meets Fugazi. \'The Zen Of Rock And Roll\' is the debut album, recorded and mixed by Steve Albini (Nirvana, Pixies, Stooges) and chock full of genuine promise. \n\nEchoing the likes of Nirvana\'s debut record or the early Soundgarden, Tad and Mudhoney material - these are dynamic pop songs with a hardcore edge, replacing slickness for a gritty live feel and rock attitude. Black Ocean have delivered a record that shifts from grimy hardcore menace to a country punk groove with the odd epic rock moment thrown in for good measure, and as such deserves to be heard and loved by as manypeople as humanly possible.\" -- Mike Bond\n\nTag lines: Dogtown Black Ocean Tony Alva Jay Adams Stacy Peralta Pool Skateboarding Lords Of Venice Zephyr Z-Boys Peggy Oki Allen Sarlo Steve Albini Hangar Bowl Surfing in Greece Skateboarding in Greece Greek Rock Bands Matt Wessen George Drakoulias BavelisMichael MacDonald A&R Ethan Johns Steve Pavlovic Luke Wood Wolfmother Andrew Stockdale Chris Ross Myles Heskett Michael Rosenblatt Brad Circone Dino Paredes Sam Wick Peter Drakoulias Caleb Followill George Schwindt Eurogression Steve McGann Big Back Forty Kenny Mollica Chicken\'s Pool Andrew Wessen Norah Layton Antonis Petridis An Club
