We left off with Mrs. J finding out about the beating. Now let\'s go to Nick\'s room a couple minutes ago.N: *Wakes up when he hears knocking on the door* Come in!\nJ: *He walks in and sits next to Nick* How are you doing?\nN: Fine *Nick wasn\'t looking at Joe* \nJ: Your still upset that we didn\'t hear you, aren\'t you?\nN: I don\'t get how you didn\'t hear me. You I kind of understand being upstairs an all.But Kevin was in the kitchen, I don\'t get it.\nJ: You know how Kevin gets when he reads a book. A bomb could drop next to him and he still won\'t move. *He smiled and Nick finally faced him*\nN: Ok. Mrs. J ran into the room so fast that it scared Nick half to death*MRS.J: My poor baby *She hugged Nick, who just sat there looking confused*N: Mom? Why are you hugging me?MRS.J: You nearly drowned and was kidnapped and you don\'t even know why I\'m hugging you?N: Thanks a lot Joe. *Mrs. Jonas let go a couple minutes later* I\'m ok mom.MRS.J: No it\'s not. I don\'t like it when you get hurt. I mean look at all the things that this Mitch has done. This week he kidnapped you and beat you, last week he threw a ball at your head, and the week before that he pushed you into the deep end of the towns pool. I was never as scared as I was that day.N: Don\'t worry about it mom. Joe said as soon as it\'s warm out he\'ll teach me to swim.MRS.J: Ok. I don\'t want you walking today. *She sees Nicks scrapped up knees* not till your knees look better.N: *looks a little sad* ok.MRS.J: I\'ll call Sophia and ask her to come over and play.N: *looks happier* Alright! *Mrs. J gets up and walks out of the room.
